Jordan: The first royal wedding of 2023 occurred on March 12, as Jordan's Princess Iman bint Abdullah II married Jameel Alexander Thermiotis at the Beit Al-Urdon Palace.
The lavish ceremony saw the princess wearing a stunning Dior gown and was attended by more than 150 guests, including family members and dignitaries from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The event was broadcast live on Jordan TV, the country's national television service.
Crown Prince Hussein and his fiancée Rajwa Al Saif, King Abdullah, Queen Rania, and notable figures were in attendance.
Such as Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and Entissar Amer, the First Lady of Egypt.
Princess Iman, 26, was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Crown Prince Hussein.
Following the ceremony, Queen Rania Al Abdullah took to Instagram to express her joy for the couple:
"Iman, I pray this next chapter brings you as much joy, love, and laughter as you have brought us over the years. Congratulations to the bride and groom!"
The bride's husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1994 to Alexandros Thermiotis and Corina Hernández.
Hailing from a prominent Greek family, Thermiotis attended Florida International University, where he studied Business Administration and Business.
He spearheaded Outbound Ventures LLC and is now a managing partner at a New York City venture capital firm.
The royal couple, who are both private about their personal lives, dated for three years before their engagement announcement in July 2022.
The Royal Hashemite Court shared a portrait of the couple embracing, with Princess Iman's engagement ring in full view.
The bride's family and her brother, Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, posted warm wishes and congratulations on social media, celebrating the union and expressing their love for the couple.
