Trendyol Triumphs at TIM’s Export Champions Award Ceremony

Trendyol wins the e-export category at TIM’s Export Champions Award Ceremony, highlighting Türkiye’s digitalization and global trade potential.

Trendyol, the Turkish e-commerce platform, has clinched the top position in the “e-export” category at the Export Champions Award Ceremony organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) on Saturday.

This recognition underscores Trendyol’s pivotal role in advancing Türkiye’s digitalization and cross-border trade efforts.

In an era where digital transformation is paramount, Trendyol’s victory marks a significant milestone.

Trendyol Group President Çağlayan Çetin lauded the company’s achievements, highlighting the importance of TIM’s inaugural e-export award.

“With the strength derived from Türkiye’s ecosystem, Trendyol has become one of the top five technology companies in Europe and the Middle East and the e-export champion of our nation. This award truly belongs to Trendyol’s young engineers, who create groundbreaking technologies, and to Turkish producers, whose products enable this export success,” he stated.

Çetin emphasized the pride in promoting “Made in Türkiye” products globally through Trendyol’s technological advancements, production capabilities, and quality human resources.

He noted that their e-export initiatives are crucial in digitizing producers, artisans, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), allowing them to extend their reach to millions of customers worldwide.

Trendyol’s success is not just about winning awards but expanding the horizons for thousands of SMEs.

“Trendyol has introduced 70,000 SMEs to export, with over 90,000 exporters in total. Our goal is to enable all of our 300,000 sellers to engage in e-export. We will continue to unlock Türkiye’s cross-border trade potential through e-export,” Çetin added.

Following Trendyol in the e-export category were LC Waikiki and Modanisa, who have made significant contributions to Türkiye’s export landscape.

The ceremony also highlighted Türkiye’s largest exporting companies in various sectors.

Ford Otomotiv topped the list in goods exports, followed by Toyota Otomotiv and STAR Rafineri.

In the service export category, national flag carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) claimed the top spot, followed by low-cost carrier Pegasus and SunExpress, a joint venture of THY and Germany’s Lufthansa.

The Turkish Exporters’ Assembly’s recognition of these companies highlights the importance of innovation, quality, and dedication in promoting Turkish products globally.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the ceremony, further emphasizing the national significance of these achievements.

Trendyol’s triumph at TIM’s Export Champions Award Ceremony is a testament to the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and the empowerment of local businesses.

As Türkiye continues to embrace digitalization and expand its global footprint, Trendyol remains at the forefront, leading the charge in e-export and setting a benchmark for others to follow.
