17-Year-Old Adnan Muhammet Korkut Survives 94 Hours Under Rubble by Drinking Urine and Eating Flowers

Gaziantep, Türkiye: A 17-year-old boy named Adnan Muhammet Korkut has been rescued from the rubble in Gaziantep after 94 hours of being trapped.

He told the story of how he managed to survive during this time.

Adnan was in the living room of his home when the earthquake struck, and he found himself trapped in the rubble with no way to move.

He said he covered himself with a blanket to keep warm and drank his urine to survive.

He also ate parts of the flowers his mother had grown to stay alive.

Despite being trapped and unable to move, Adnan kept his spirits up by setting the alarm every 25 minutes and trying to make noise by banging on the ceiling with a piece of wood.

On the fourth day, the AFAD rescue team finally came to his aid, and Adnan was reunited with his family.

After being rescued, Adnan said he only wanted water, and his mother hugged him in tears, thanking God for their happy ending. Adnan also expressed gratitude for the AFAD, The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (Afet ve Acil Durum Yönetimi BaÅŸkanlığı, also abbreviated as AFAD), and the GASKI teams who helped rescue him.

In conclusion, Adnan’s story is a testament to the human spirit and the determination to survive adversity.

He serves as an inspiration to us all.
